Acupuncture for women's health, through every stage
From painful periods to perimenopause, many women want gentle, natural support that works alongside their doctor's care. Melissa Montoya, R. Ac., is a licensed Registered Acupuncturist with a particular focus on women's health.
Care that follows your cycle and your life stage
Hormonal and gynecological concerns rarely sit on their own. Sleep, stress, digestion and energy are often part of the picture, so Melissa looks at the whole pattern before she treats.
Acupuncture can be received on its own or alongside homeopathy and nutrition at Core Healing Path, and alongside the care you already get from your family doctor, gynecologist or fertility clinic.
Visits are in North York at 333 Sheppard Ave E, Suite 5W. See also acupuncture in North York and acupuncture for pain.

Are appointments covered by insurance in Ontario?
Many extended health plans in Ontario reimburse visits with a registered homeopath, and some cover nutrition counselling. Coverage depends on your plan, not on a single rule for every insurer. Check your booklet for homeopathy, naturopathy, or nutrition, then bring questions to a free 15-minute call. Virtual appointments are available across Ontario and for clients outside Canada.
Questions people ask before they book
Can acupuncture help with period pain and PMS?
Menstrual cramps, PMS and irregular cycles are among the most common reasons women seek acupuncture. Results vary from person to person, so Melissa assesses your cycle and history first and recommends a plan that fits you.
Is acupuncture helpful during perimenopause and menopause?
Many women look to acupuncture for support with hot flashes, night sweats, sleep changes and mood during perimenopause and menopause. It can be received alongside care from your doctor.
Can I have acupuncture while trying to conceive or during IVF?
Acupuncture is often received alongside conventional fertility care, including IVF and IUI. It does not replace medical fertility treatment. Let Melissa know your timeline and your clinic's plan so sessions can be timed around it.
Is acupuncture safe during pregnancy?
Acupuncture can be received during pregnancy, but certain points and techniques are modified. Always tell us if you are pregnant or may be pregnant when you book.
